Glen Kirkland

Born and raised in Mclennan, Alberta, Glen began writing when he was in the eighth grade.  He went to Edmonton to go to university and was hired by Edmonton Catholic schools where he taught English for thirty two years.  Glen is co author of 28 high school textbooks used across Canada.  Also a playwright, he has had plays performed in Edmonton's Fringe Theatre Festival  three times.  A well known local poet he is a founding member of the Edmonton Stroll of Poets and has frequently read poems in local bistros and coffee houses.  An aspiring novelist, he is currently at work on a murder mystery set in a small Alberta town.
