Darlene Spong Henderson

 

 

Darlene Spong Henderson has been writing poetry since her youth. Born and raised in London Ontario she and her husband moved to Alberta to plant roots and start their family.  In 2005, she and her husband were transplanted from the Prairie to the West Coast.  A member of Poets Ink!, the Writers Guild of Alberta, and the Federation of BC Writers, the Shore Line Writers Society, the Vancouver International Writers Festival and Vancouver Poetry House, Darlene is also an Associate Member of the League of Canadian Poets.

 

Darlene's poetry has been influenced over the years by her sisters' deaths, her concern for women's issues as well as a profound connection to this planet.  A lover of poetry, Darlene digs living and writing in a place where the land meets the sea.
